About Sam
Introducing the sweetheart Sam! Sam is a Beagle born 28th September 2020.
Sam was surrendered to the facility as his owners have found themselves in hard times & were struggling to feed him. His surrender profile states he was kept as an outdoor dog so he isn't house trained. He has had obedience training, has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety, he travels well in the car, is friendly with children & adult strangers. He hasn't been around cats at all, but he is friendly with other dogs.
Sam tested well with both male & female dogs. He's not overly playful or excited to socialise with them, but he seems relaxed & happy with their company.
If you have a friendly dog a home, we will need you to bring them in so we can ensure they get along before going home.
Sam was unfazed by cats & Russell the rooster. We feel that if he is given a slow & controlled introduction, he could happily live with smaller animals at home.
Sam has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression towards humans since being at the facility.
Sam is a typical Beagle who will follow his nose the ends of the Earth, but is very much a sweetheart who loves a good neck & back scratch.
Sam's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration & current vaccination. Bear is also regularly treated for flea and worms.
To enquire more or to meet Sam, please call 0499 900 272 or email ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com and speak to one of our friendly staff.
Sam is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
