Hey everyone, I’m Gigimeow! I'm a bit of a shy girl, so you will have to have pawesome patience, and allow me the time to settle in. I'll mostly hide in a safe space and sleep the day away. I've been a fan of my Foster Mum's wardrobe lately, which I open all by myself! One way to lure me out is with food, I like those Dine tasty treat packets!

I need a hooman who approaches me slowly and calmly. I can be patted sometimes, but only on my terms. Then when I've had enough, I will let you know (this might be in the form of a bite if you haven't picked up on my body language signals) I get better with this with the more time that passes and the more trust that is built.

Lately I'm even enjoying coming up on the couch with the hoomans for some pats or a cuddle, which my Foster Mum has been enjoying very much because she says I have fur as soft as silk! 💜

As soon as the sun goes down, I like to come out. I'll play at the night time. I also like to watch cat TV. I meow a little bit and rub up against walls (and anything else I can find). I'll even come to you for a pat once I get more comfortable with you. I just need you to be patient with me while I build my trust. I've moved around a lot and I am ready to find my fur-ever home where I can really let my guard down, knowing that I have a safe space for the rest of my life.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Due to my shy nature I’d prefer a mature home with older hoomans that can give me my space to settle in.

I enjoy the company of other cats, so another confident and friendly feline companion would be pawesome! I feel safer when some other cats are around, to show me there is nothing to be afraid of. I am still working on trusting hoomans. If you have a friendly, confident feline (or two) to show me the ropes I’d love that!

My current foster hooman also has some doggos which have been sharing my living space and they don’t seem to scare me, they just do their thing while I watch.

Likes / Dislikes
I'm still adjusting to the inside life with hoomans, so cuddling and patting is still new to me and I'm a bit unsure. I would be a good companion to a quiet home where I can continue to grow my confidence.

I enjoy having wet food at night and biscuits throughout the day. I like to come and lay up on the couch next to the humans in the comfy blanket, and don't mind sharing that space with another cat. Sometimes I will even venture over to you and lay beside you and go to sleep tucked into you, or at least come close enough that you can pat me.

My PURR-fect home would be with a patient family that will allow me to settle in my own time, and another feline friend or two would be great.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Gigimeow was exposed to Ringworm, which is a common fungal infection. She did not show symptoms and was given the all clear by the vet.
