About Max 🧸
Gorgeous little Max, our 7yr old Mini Dachshund….weighing in at just 5kg, is a picture of health, attested by his vet check last week. Funny, energetic and affectionate, Max loves going for long walks (and great on lead), catching a ball on the beach, sun baking and most of all, snuggling on his humans lap watching the footy! He barracks for Manly….but don’t hold that against him! 🏉
Max mimics the passing sirens 🚨 and tries really hard to catch his tail while making everyone watching, very dizzy! He is crate trained for sleeping, but has been allowed to sleep alongside his humans in the big bed during his time in care. Being such a teeny tiny man, he really doesn’t take up much room 🛏
Toilet training is going amazingly well, and with gentle reminders in his new home, Max will learn quickly and do his absolute best to please his people. He is currently in care with another little Dachshund, Sonny (brother from another mother) and gets along well with him. He is not a real fan of big dogs, although with consistent exposure to them, is getting better, and not overly keen on pups/dogs with high energy in his face.
This delightful boy would suit someone who is home most of the time and can dedicate the love and attention he deserves. He is very protective and loving towards his people. Whoever adopts this pooch is in for a good time. He has previously lived with children and fine with them, as long as they are respectful of animals 💞
Max is located in Toukley on the Central Coast NSW and ready to adopt now 💙

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
