About Hazel
Hazel is a 15kg puppy dog who is definitely still living out her puppy era.
She loves to play and can entertain herself for hours with a toy that squeaks! When she's not playing, she will happily snooze for hours on end and is otherwise very placid. She loves being close to you and loves a snuggle on the couch. She loves people and attention and is always wagging her tail (except when the vacuum comes out!).
Although she is still learning, Hazel gets along with other small/medium dogs and loves to play. She gets along with cats but would not be suitable for a home with a stand offish feline friend.
She is very gentle with children but would probably be best suited to a home with primary school aged kids or older.
Hazel will need a home with a fellow furry friend or a home where she can be actively involved in daily life.
Hazel's forever family will need to be committed to daily physio at home while she continues to gain strength from her injured leg.
Like most poodles, she has a sensitive tummy and can only eat certain foods which her family will need to keep up. They will also need to be able to provide basic training as she is very much still learning. She is very eager to please.
She is house trained but may have some accidents initially while she adjusts. She is crate trained but prefers to be close to you.
Bed / toy / collar / lead included .
Medical notes
Has had surgery on her back right hip/ leg - she was flown by us from Brisbane to Melbourne to rescue and complete the surgery which had been left since she was a puppy . She is now out of pain and using her leg 60-70% of the time. Her carer is a vet nurse and can explain further. All vet notes included.
