ABOUT TEDDY

Hi all! My name is Teddy (or Teddy bear as my foster mum calls me). I came into care from a loving home but with biting issues. Their vets weren't able to help. Thankfully my foster mum and our trainer worked with the vet and have me on meds that make me a lot better. I can still react but my foster mum knows me and can help you understand me. I need a quiet home with someone home most of the time. I need to be an only pet. I get jealous of other dogs and hate cats. I don't mind the horses here and the chooks and guinea fowl are nice to watch. I don't like confined spaces. Doggy doors and crates scare me. Walking on a lead is fun where it's quiet but I tend to get distracted. I can be a bit stubborn moving on but a gentle voice helps me move. I've come a long way and now and love snuggling on the couch and in bed with my foster mum. If you have time and patience to get to know me, I will give kisses and be your snuggly shadow.

daily Zactin,
Trazadone as a sedative before vet visits
Ear flush every two weeks and dermotic ear drops after flushing

Has mild hindlimb ataxia that requires ongoing monitoring. May require further treatment if the condition becomes painful for him.

BEHAVIOUR NOTES
Separation anxiety
Can be reactive with new people and possessive of owners.
Needs to be an only pet.
Has some food aggression.
