About Missy *On Trial*
*missy is currently trialling her new home* big-eyed beautiful baby missy will need a home where she feels loved and secure after her traumatic start to life at the hands of a nearly 3 year old boy. . . . . Ever since being intercepted by a sarg volunteer in january, as the boy’s mother was about to hand missy over to the pound for missy’s own safety, this sweet little kitten has been undergoing rehabilitation to try and restore her faith in humans. The boy, who was obviously too young for a pet, had taken to throwing and kicking around the then 5-6 week old kitten and nearly squeezing the life out of the poor little thing every time he picked her up. Luckily his mother made the decision to remove missy from this situation before any physical damage could be done but sadly the psychological pain had already taken its toll on this once "normal" kitten who was now terrified of the world. . . . . . Lovingly christened “hissy-missy” due to her anti-social behaviour when first in care there were times during those weeks where we actually thought the kindest thing would be to have missy put to sleep but her wonderful carer persevered and now missy realises that not everyone wants to throw her around and hurt her every time she’s picked up. She is still a little shy but once she gets to know you’re not a threat she is fine and thankfully she’s improving every day - she even enjoys a scratch behind the ears! these days missy is happily playing with sarg’s other kittens who are in care with her or cuddling up with her carer for a well-deserved cat nap. Missy is litter trained, she’s really taken to her scratching pole which is a bonus and she’s not a fussy eater either. Missy would be best suited to a quieter home without really young children, either on her own or with a friendly cat for company. If you think you can give missy the loving home she deserves then please download and complete a sarg cat application form by following this link: http://www. Sarg. Net. Au/adoptapet. Html
