About Lux
Lux may be little, but she has a big personality!
You can see her spark just by looking at her. She can fill the room with her presence and provides her foster carer with endless hours of entertainment. Lux is the sweetest little girl who loves nothing more than cuddle time. She will nuzzle right into your neck to be close to you. That empty spot in your lap has her name written all over it as that is her favourite spot to be. Lux is a very social puppy and loves all people that she meets. She loves getting affection almost as much as she loves to give it.
Lux has a cheeky streak and an inquisitive nature. She likes to explore and investigate all the things in her foster home - sometimes with her mouth which results in her eating things that are not considered appropriate puppy food. Lux is very responsive to correction, so she just needs someone willing to keep an eye on what she is up to or have her in an appropriately safe area.
Lux is now venturing out into the big wide world where there is so much more for her to experience. She is building confidence when out and about with the support and encouragement of her foster carer. With continued positive exposure, she will enjoy all the new experiences and make a great companion to adventure with. Lux will be a medium sized dog when fully grown. She is a working breed mix of some description so will be relatively active and require a home where she will get adequate exercise and mental stimulation.
Lux is currently in care with another puppy and two adult dogs. She enjoys the company of other dogs and will take herself off to snuggle with a doggy friend when it is rest time. She enjoys rumbling and chasing games with the other dogs. Sometimes Lux gets too enthusiastic in her play and her new owner should be willing to interrupt play while she is learning to maintain appropriate playstyle. Lux will need a home where she is given regular socialisation, preferably in the form of play dates with other known friendly dogs that match her play style.
This little one is as smart as a whip. She is quick to learn things both from her foster carer and by herself. Lux should be taken along to group obedience classes and would be a great candidate for someone wishing to look into other types of dog activities like agility. At this point in time, she knows how to sit and walk on a lead, and is now learning to lay down and wait for her food. She travels fine in the car and has started crate training. Lux may be active but has the capacity to switch off – something that should be fostered by her new owners. It would be great to see someone adopt her who can harness her potential and develop her into the amazing dog she can be.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Lux where she will be a loved member of the family and included in the daily activities. She can live with another playful dog who has a calm nature and who is already fully trained. Alternatively, she is fine to be homed as an only dog with owners who are able to support her during the transition period and have sufficient time to meet her physical and mental needs. Lux should be allowed inside to be with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She is young enough to be integrated with other types of pets with the appropriate training and guidance. We feel that Lux will thrive in an environment where she is the centre of someone’s world so is best suited to a single or couple looking for their new best friend. She will not be suitable to live in a unit and will require a yard with sufficient fencing.
The world is your oyster with this little girl. She will bring so much love and fun to her new owners. If you would like that to be you, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. Please include plenty of details about your previous dog experience and the type of lifestyle you can offer Lux.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
