About Fudge

Perhaps a Miniature Poodle who will follow you everywhere you go?
Fudge is a beautiful fun loving guy who is just shy of 5 years old – Fudge is a fun loving boy who loves to be with his humans doing anything they are doing or just generally being around them.
Fudge is an ex-breeding boy who has come into care to have all his vet work completed and find his forever family.
Fudge while a chilled out boy once comfortable and settled can still show some nervousness in new situations although as he experiences more in life his confidence does grow, but when nervous slow movements are best.
Fudge is looking for that family / person who will love that and more!
Fudge is 8.9kgs (we think most the weight is in the fur!)
Fudge loves to be goofy and play with other dogs – he loves to run and have the wind flap his ears – while he sounds like he can be lot of fun (and is) he also has the sweetest temperament and is a lovely boy.
Fudge’s absolute favorite activity is having a squeaky ball throw game – he has learnt the art of retrieval which makes it more fun for humans, but does sometimes like to push the envelope and if he’s not ready to finish the game a bit of fun is had by Fudge of practicing his grid iron defense moves to not get ‘caught’ – it’s a funny site to see especially as you would swear he had a smile on his face as he does it!
Fudge would also happily go for a walk or two a day or even a jog.
Fudge is most happy when being near his humans – they can be working, reading, folding the washing and he is happy to just be near – either watching or snoozing. He loves to sleep on a dog bed in a humans’ room – either kids or adults – it makes him happy and who could say no to this gorgeous face.
Fudge’s favorite spot after a bit of exercise is lying with his head in his humans’ lap.
Fudge is currently in care with other dogs and loves to play with them - he is used to all ages and sizes of dogs but with his goofy happy personality he could be too much for a dog who is just wanting a quiet life.
Fudge has been in a home with cats - on a lead he is no problems but off he does like to be inquisitive about them and sometimes chase
Fudge is house trained but will have a few marking accidents if going to a new house
Fudge is great with kids and currently lives with some
Fudge’s idea home would be with people who were home more often than not and could very much incorporate him into their daily life.
Fudge has a typical Poodles coat and does require regular grooming and brushing.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
