About Bindi
Please meet Miss Bindi, a highly intelligent, affectionate and well-trained Blue Cattle Dog, looking for a safe and loving home.
As you can see from the attached videos, Bindi is very well-trained, can do some nifty tricks, loves ball play and is great with kids. Overall, she's an ideal house dog and would make a loyal and delightful companion or family dog.
Bindi walks nicely on a lead and does not react to other dogs when out and about.
Although she has lived successfully with other dogs in foster care, Bindi forms very strong bonds with her humans and would prefer to be an "only dog" so she doesn't need to share the love. However, she seems to do better with male dogs than females.
She loves the car and is an excellent traveller. Last year, she travelled from Warwick to Townsville and back with her family. She'd be an ideal companion for grey nomads.
Bindi is house-trained and well-mannered. She's not a barker and will only raise the bark alarm if appropriate e.g., someone knocks on the front door or pulls up in the driveway.
She's lived successfully with cats in the past, but has had no exposure to them since being in care.
Strong preference will be given to a home where someone is around most of the time and, importantly, where Bindi enjoys indoor privileges, including sleeping inside at night.
A typical blue dog, Bindi can be a little reserved at first, but once you've won her trust - which takes about 48 hours - she will be your inseparable companion.
She weighs 23-25 kgs.
