Adoption Requirements:
- License Required in ACT and NSW

- Pond preferred or Extra large tank (5ft+)

- Turtle ownership experience required

- Solitary animal so must be housed without other turtles

Hi my name is Torti (Tortellini)

At 15 years old I am still pretty young for a turtle but I have done lots of growing since I was a hatchling and am now a very big boy over 9 inches long. This is why my previous family had to make the hard choice to rehome me, they just couldn't get a tank big enough for my space needs. The team here at RSPCA have said they will help me find a new home hopefully with a nice big pond! It sounds great to me all that space to splash and swim and some nice basking spots, what more could a turtle ask for!

My new owner will need to have a licence and a space for me inside while it is still cold so that I can transition safely to a pond unless they have a big tank instead of a pond. Turtle experience would be preferred or experience with other reptiles. I am pretty confident and curious so I wont mind kids little faces looking in at me, but any handling should be done by an adult so that I am safe.
