Shelby is a adventurous and boisterous pup. She knows what she wants and will put on the puppy eyes to get it. She is a little go getter and will happily play or chew on her chew toys for hours. Once she is in need of a nap she generally goes and chills by the back door or chills in her crate, or on a comfy dog bed.
She loves to play with other dogs. She has been around both male and female dogs with no issues. It does appear that she has a dominant side to her when first meeting new dogs, but settles very quickly, and snuggles up to them. She does like to sit on the dogs that she currently resides with.
Shelby is very gentle around kids. One of her foster carer's has a toddler and there has been no nipping, jumping or rushing at the child to knock them over. Further testing with cats is needed. She is quite excited around them and tends to want to play rough which causes the cat to get up high away from her.
Like all dogs Shelby loves to go for walks. She pulls quite a lot on her lead so she is currently being walked on a head halti and is learning to be settled on a lead. She also loves the water, and enjoys splashing in the shell pool.
She has stared crate training, she gets fed in her crate too as her appetite gets the better of her and she goes looking for more food. She is currently being crated over night and is responding very well.
This little pocket rocket is a quick learner, and loves her cuddles. If you're looking for a confident, playful and affectionate gal look no further than Shelby.
Shelby is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated and given flea, tick and worm preventatives.
