About Spike
Hi, I’m Spike, I can be shy at first but don’t let that fool you, I am a snuggly ball of fun that is full of life as soon as I warm up.
I get along instantly with other dogs and just want to be included in all playtime activities. I have met the resident cat and I’m not interested in it at all, so should have no problem with getting along with them in any future situations.
Although I haven’t been tested completely on my own, I seem to gain confidence from following another dogs lead. Due to this I would need a home with another dog in it or be with someone who was at home more often enough to be able to give me regular exercise and stimulation.
I currently sleep inside in a crate at night and usually sleep from 10:30pm to 7am. Once I wake I spend my days both Inside and outside, getting lots of playtime in the yard.
I adore people and have been fantastic with kids and have shown nothing but love to them, but please be mindful that as I’m still a puppy my teeth are quite sharp and I love to nibble on fingers.
I love to adventure and tend to find the biggest stick in the yard and carry it around! I’m quite fond of all my toys as long as long as I have something to chew on I’m content!
I have been learning basic commands at the moment, I’m very receptive to treats. I am learning quickly how to walk nicely on a lead.
I am still having some accidents inside but these are becoming less and less

Please ensure all corresponding documentation, such as vet work for existing animals & lease agreements are provided with the completed application to avoid any delays
Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will pass your contact details onto the carer and they will liaise with you to arrange a meet & handover. Prior to the handover, an adoption contract will be emailed to you along with copies of vet work & our bank details. The signed adoption agreement & payment of the adoption fee is required prior to the animal leaving with you. We offer a two-week trial period, and the full adoption fee, minus an administration fee will be refundable if the adoption is cancelled within those two weeks.
