About Aiko
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION
Aiko | 1yr 10 m | Female | Siberian Husky
Located Melb
Aiko is a typical, fun loving husky girl- equal parts cheeky and snugglebum. While she has the husky need to run, she is just as happy to sleep on your feet in front of the fire at night.
Being a young girl, Aiko loves a wrestle with other dogs and has lived with kids previously so is very respectful of children of all ages. She is not a jumpy or mouthy pup, though she may steal low hanging food! She absolutely loves squeaky balls, and her favourite thing to do is carry them around- not so much chase them!
Aiko is extra agile so 6ft fencing is a MUST for her- she will try her luck if you are not home, but won't bother if you are there. Right now Aiko is kept indoors while her humans are away, and she is not destructive. She is being conditioned to the crate and does very well if left with something tasty!
Aiko will need another dog in her new home, she isn't picky but bigger is better as she likes it rough. She does well with little dogs but does need corrections occasionally, as she loves to chase and although she is respectful some dogs are not appreciative.
This girl is bomb proof- drop things, loud noises, construction, thunder, kids little hands- nothing phases her. She had her foster carer convinced she was deaf because she was such a deep sleeper!!
Aiko will need continued training just as any other young husky, but is currently doing well with sit, wait, and crate commands. She loves the park and would do well with an active family who want a dog that is suitable to take on outings, to the dog park, etc as long as the area is fenced or she is on lead. She is currently living with four other dogs of various sizes and is doing extremely well. She is 95% toilet trained, but may have an accident if left home for long periods of time. Absolutely no cats or pocket pets as she has a very high drive, typical of most young huskies.
Aiko is looking for her forever family and fur brother/sisters- and has so much love and excitement to give! Are you the one?
