Rex

Hi, I'm Rex. I'm a lovely little red and tan kelpie boy.

I love to run and play, I LOVE going for car rides. I'm great with kids and enjoy my pats, and can still be a bit excitable like most young working breeds. I'm a very active and driven boy, and I like to keep busy however I have a great off switch too! I do enjoy curling up on the couch for a cuddle or at your feet while you work and love to be inside. I can entertain myself with all my toys, deer antlers and I love tearing catalogues apart!

I walk well on the lead although I do need more practice so I don't pull, I am crate trained, however bedtime is not my favourite time, but I do settle well once in my crate inside for the night. I am learning to sit, leave it, stay, and not rush out the front door like a good boy. My recall is improving each day. I do respond to a quick loud whistle and the word “come” but will need continued work, especially under distraction, I'm also toilet trained and very good inside when left alone when you go out.

I love other dogs once I've been introduced properly as I do like to play, so a friend would be good for company.

I need a forever home with owners who understand working dog breeds, and are committed to continuing on with my training, daily exercise and stimulation, and helping me to be the most content and well-adjusted lad I can be, I am eager to please and love to be with my humans.
