About Ubu ♥️
Meet our courageous and independent little lady, Ubu. This affectionate female cat may be blind, but that doesn't stop her vibrant and playful spirit from shining through. Despite her lack of sight, this beautiful feline has tremendously honed her other senses, especially her hearing, making her astoundingly attuned to the world around her.
Navigating her world with confidence and grace, Ubu embodies a spirit of resilience and determination symbolic of her name, which means 'courage' in Swahili. Her playful antics are sure to light up your home and warm your heart. Despite her lack of sight, her exploration of spaces reveals her clever mindfulness and keen sense of direction.
This loveable feline cherishes the company of other cats, often nestled up against a friendly feline buddy during her nap times. Her calls and purrs tell you just how much she enjoys being part of a loving family.
Ubu will need a bit of extra love and care; she requires daily eye-cleanings to keep her comfortable and regular brushing to prevent mats. But fear not—Ubu astounds everyone with her adaptability and bravery, which makes her grooming routines more of a bonding opportunity than a challenge.
This fantastic feline can bring a world of joy and inspiration into her adopter's life. As she has always shown us, a loving home isn't just about seeing it—it's about feeling it. Ubu is ready to find a home where she can nurture her relationships, whether they are with fellow cats or her affectionate human companions. She will bring immeasurable happiness to your home with her affectionate purrs and inspiring courage. Don't miss the chance to get to know this extraordinary little lady.
Ubu's ideal new family would provide her with plenty of patience and understanding because she relies enormously on consistency. A calm and peaceful environment would serve her best. While she loves to explore and play, she also appreciates a quiet environment where she can feel secure and content.
Ubu promises to be more than just a pet; she will be an embodiment of inspiration and love in her new family's life. Her journey reaffirms that home isn't just about what you can see – it's about what you feel. She is now ready to embark on a new adventure, hoping to find a loving home where strong bonds will be formed and cherished.
Join Ubu's journey and open the doors to immense joy, affectionate purrs, and unwavering courage. Be enthralled by the mesmerizing story of this extraordinary girl, whose sensitivity to sounds adds an additional layer to her charm. Embrace the magic of Ubu; she's ready to fill your home with unforgettable moments.
Medical notes
Ubu has micro-opthalmia in both her eyes, also known as "small eyes". She has been seen by a specialist, who diagnosed this as a rare developmental abnormality. There is no treatment or surgery available, however this issue doesnt seem to cause her any problems. She has minimal vision, seeing light and movement, but this doesnt stop her getting around! She gets discharge around her eyes daily, so will need an owner who is committed to cleaning them, to make sure she doesn't get gunk build up.

Adoption details
If interested in an animal that is available for adoption, we require you to fill out an adoption application, and one of our lovely foster carers will give you a call to organise a time for a meet and greet. Depending on the requirements of the animal, a house/property inspection may be required. It is a requirement that any dogs being adopted into a pre-existing dog home, will need to have a meet and greet with the dogs, to ensure they are a good match.
If approved for adoption, a mutually convenient time will be arranged, to complete the adoption paperwork. A trial adoption can be offered under certain circumstances if required, but will not be an option for every animal. It is at the discretion of Fin, Furred N Feathered, if this is an option. If you would like a trial adoption of 2 weeks, please speak to us! The adoption fee will need to be paid in full, before a trial adoption can take place.
If not approved for adoption, we are more than happy to have a chat with you, why you were not successful for that animal, to see if we can help you find your perfect family member!
**Please note: As we are very busy people, working full time jobs, and taking care of all our lovely animals (our most important and rewarding job!!), we require all interested people fill out an application, rather than send an enquiry, as this helps us know more about you and what you are after, and saves us all a lot of time!
ONLY FILL OUT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT ADOPTING.
