Hi, I'm Zane! My life had a rough start after I was found abandoned with several other kittens in an area where homes were being demolished. Even though my beginning was difficult, I've come a long way and continue to grow in confidence every day.

I'm a gentle boy who can be a little shy when meeting new people or facing new situations. Once I feel safe, I really enjoy gentle pats. If I give a little hiss sometimes, it's just my way of saying I'm feeling nervous—not that I'm being aggressive. I just need a little patience while I work things out.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Because I'm still building my confidence with people, I'd do best in a home without young children. Older children who understand I might need some space while I'm settling in could be a great match.

I absolutely love other cats and would be happiest in a home with a friendly feline companion. Having a confident cat around helps me feel safe and settle into new surroundings.

I could also live with a calm, cat-friendly dog, as long as we're introduced slowly and respectfully.

Likes / Dislikes
I love a quiet home where I can feel safe and relaxed. I happily eat dry food, and I'm always excited when wet food is on the menu—especially seafood flavours! Cat milk is one of my favourite treats. I'm currently a little overweight, so a balanced diet and some gentle encouragement to stay active (especially with fresh catnip!) will help me stay healthy. I also have excellent litter tray habits, so I'm an easy-care companion.

As I'm naturally a cautious boy, I'll need to stay indoors or have access to a secure cat enclosure where I can safely enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

My PURR-fect home would be in a calm, caring home with people who understand that confidence takes time to build. I'd love a family who will let me settle in at my own pace while helping me discover that people can be pretty wonderful. Having a feline best friend is high on my wish list because other cats help me feel safe and bring out the best in me.
