I'm Cat, the cutest and friendliest couch potato that you'll ever meet! My old family dearly loved me and wanted to make sure that I had the best life possible, so they surrendered me to Street Cat Alliance Qld to make sure that could happen. I have a condition called FIV, which requires extra care at times, though I have been given a thorough vet check and been declared a healthy boy, hooray!
I'm a "top tier housecat", so my human foster brother says. I'm a smoochy guy who lives and breathes affection. I'm fond of a pat, love a good scritch under the chin and behind my ears, and I'm happy to hang out by your side. 😎 Not much will phase me and I'm generally a very relaxed kitty.
I love pretty much everything and everyone as long as they're kind to me! I am used to living with cats and smaller dogs (the big ones can be a bit intimidating sometimes) and I'm also great with kids, so I'm sure I'll fit in wonderfully with the fam!
🥰 Not only am I a beautiful boy with a gorgeously fluffy coat and a heart of gold, I'm a good eater (I do like to save a little bit of food to graze on later) and I'm great with using the litter tray.
You know I would be the purrfect boy to cuddle, so don't sit on your paws - I want to meet you! Fill out an application now!
Smooches,
Cat xo
Medical notes
I tested POSITIVE for FIV (negative for FeLV). I need to be kept as an inside cat only to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy. I am currently a very healthy boy, but due to my diagnosis I will need to be kept in a stress free environment, fed a high quality diet and proper dental care, and receive regular vet visits to ensure that I stay that way!
New research has shown that FIV-positive cats are in fact very adoptable, and can live the same lifespan as an FIV-negative cat. This research has also debunked the myth that FIV-positive cats cannot safely live with non-infected cats.
