About Maxi
Introducing Maxi! Maxi is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix, who is a playful goofball, and loves interacting with the world.
Maxi enjoys a good chew toy, and adores her walks. She usually can be found chewing on a toy, or having a sniff in the backyard. She settles nicely at night, and spends her days happily with her foster-brother. Maxi enjoys playing with her doggie pals who have the same energy and play style.
Maxi is a highly intelligent, very intuitive dog, as is typical of her breed. She is fully toilet trained, and knows to sit, drop, down, stay and leave. While in foster care she has learnt to walk well on lead, and is fully crate trained. She is very respectful of fences, and always returns when called.
Maxi is still only young & is on the larger side so she can be excitable and boisterous. Her inquisitiveness always allows for some fun, however at times she can lack in confidence and relies on her human companion for support and guidance. As a herding breed, Maxi demonstrates considerable drive and herding behaviours.
Maxi would do well in a knowledgeable home that can show her the ropes and who are willing to provide boundaries and support to allow her to be her best. Due to her herding instincts, a home without smaller animals or livestock would be ideal.
If Maxi sounds like the girl for you, please send in an application today!
Maxi is located in VIC.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
