About Saphira
Diamond? No she's so bright, she's named for a saphire dragon! Look past the "black Greyhound" face, look deep into her twinkly eyes and find her marshmallow heart. She's very, very sweet. She likes to sleep in the sun or survey her domain from the verandah of her palace. Please call to arrange to meet Saphira who has not been cat tested, but this is possible.
Medical notes
Diagnosed late Aug 2023 with early stage pannus. Is being treated with topical steroid drops and if continued to be managed well, there is no expectation this will bother her in life at all, as long as any flare ups are seen to early. She will require low-dose, lifetime medication. This is a link to a QRIC fact sheet on pannus, https://qric.qld.gov.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/GREYHOUND_Pannus_Factsheet.pdf and this is a veterinary information page https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/pannus-in-dogs Any potential adopter should seek independent veterinary advice before proceeding.
