Well, his photo might belie the truth, but Lachie is the biggest Greyhound
we have ever taken in. Currently tipping the scales at 44.6kg, he is
certainly not overweight, and may end up a kilo or two more as he slips into
"pet weight". More of a Great Dane than a Greyhound, this boy is really a
gentle giant.
He is only 2yo and never made it onto the race track as he is too gangly and
unable to get around the turns.
Lachie has just come into foster care and is learning the ropes quickly,
sleeping through the night and being very clean in the house. He is good to
walk on the lead although will need a strong adult given his size. He is
learning how to negotiate stairs & has discovered the joy of toys & soccer
balls.
