About Dyce
This black beauty goes by the name of Dyce and isn’t he just stunning! He always looks like he’s dressed to impressed with his tuxedo like markings.
Dyce loves everyone he meets and is a very affectionate young man who is always up for a snuggle. He came from a rural pound with his sibling and initially was a little fearful of new people or new situations, but it didn’t take long for her personality to shine through. He can still be a little shy with the odd new person or new things, but warms up quickly and then is up for lots of pats and belly rubs. He absolutely loves couch cuddles and hopes his new family enjoys spending quality evening time with their pooch relaxing after a good adventure during the day.
Dyce is a very smart boy and is learning basic training quickly. He knows how to sit and wait and his leash training is going well. He sleeps well in a crate throughout the night and is toilet trained. His toilet training may revert slightly in a new environment, but like with any puppy his new owner needs to ensure they set him up for success. He travels well in the car and is very food motivated so training is a breeze. Dyce absolutely loves spending time with his carers learning new things.
He is currently living with two large breed females and gets on with them well. Dyce can be a typical annoying puppy and doesn’t always heed to an adult dog’s correction, so his new owner will need to ensure they step in when an older dog needs a break from puppy play. He would do great in a home with another playful, friendly and active dog to keep him company. He hasn’t been socialised with many dogs outside of foster care due to his young age and vaccination status, so his new owners will need to continue his socialisation with other known, friendly dogs to ensure he grows up to be a friendly pooch.
Dyce is quite an active boy so is looking for an active family who will take him on lots of fun adventures. He will require a good amount of daily exercise and some mental stimulation to keep him content. If he doesn’t get enough mental or physical activity he can become a little vocal, but this is more so puppy behaviour and can be managed with sufficient energy outlets. He will need a home with someone home most of the time due to his young age.
He is looking for a dog experienced family who will allow him inside to be part of the family and provide him a warm and comfy bed to sleep on inside of a night. He could live with dog savvy children as long as they won’t get upset if he jumps up on them or mouths them. He will need to be provided a good quality diet, continued training and lots of fun outings.
If you are looking for an extremely cuddly, cute, active and strikingly beautiful dog, then Dyce might be your boy. If you are missing an adventure buddy in your life and would like Dyce to fill that hole, fill out an adoption application form from our website and provide some information on the type of lifestyle you can provide our sweet boy.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
