About Ruby 🐞
Sweet little Ruby….our little ray of sunshine 🌞
Ruby was just 7 weeks old (approximately) when she came into foster care…..she was discarded in a bin in the North Wyong area and lucky enough to be found before it was too late. The 28th June 2023 was the day Ruby’s life really began….
From the moment she arrived in care, she had everyone’s heart. She did her 2 week isolation, then settled straight in with the other kittens and cats in her foster home. Ruby is playful, loving and very cat social!
She is now 10wks old and comfortable in her foster home. She has 2 kitten friends that she loves to hang out with and 4 adult cats who have all welcomed her into the pack. Whilst she loves to zoom through tunnels, climb the cat scratcher, chase the laser toys and rumble with her besties, she adores her people and always up for a snuggle.
Ruby has not had exposure to young children during her time in care, but would cope, if they were respectful of animals and not an overly busy home. It would be lovely to see this little girl find a home where she had another young, friendly feline companion, but not an absolute deal breaker. She has had exposure to dogs, but not alot of face to face contact, so slow introductions would be required.
Ruby is currently eating Royal Canin kitten dry, chicken, tuna, Applaws tins and happily grazes on the Royal Canin indoor dry along with the bigger cats. She has been absolutely perfect with using the litter tray and still loves some milk before bed.
INDOOR ONLY HOME - unless a secure outdoor enclosed catio is on offer. Is a fenced yard enough? NO it most certainly isn’t. Sadly, too many people think that their cats don’t leave the yard. They are hunters, and will explore beyond the fence if given the chance….you only have to scan the lost and found pages online to see how many cats go missing everyday, and sadly many of them never make it home. Outdoor cats are also a big threat to our wildlife and at high risk of diseases, sickness and ticks (just to name a few).
Ruby has access to an enclosed catio and absolutely loves spending her mornings out there with her furry friends….soaking up the sunshine, playing with her kitten friends and zooming through the tunnel. She will most certainly adapt to a life of full time indoor only though.
Ruby has now had all her vet work done and ready to meet her forever family. She is located in Hamlyn Terrace on the Central Coast NSW.

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
