Peri

Peri (also known as Pear by her foster mum) is a gorgeous girl. She has a stunning braided tail that continues up her back and is beautifully coloured, she loves a good scratch on her white chest. Peri and her siblings were quite skinny when they came into SAFE Carnarvon's care, but as you can see, she is blossoming into a stunning dog.

Peri is quite shy and timid when new things and people come into her life but after a bit of patience and allowing her to get used to the ""new shiny things"", she opens up and is super playful and funny. She loves to chase any toy you throw for her and is smart enough that she will bring it back for you to throw over and over. She will even sit and wait.

Peri is currently living in foster care with an older resident foster brother and a younger foster pup. She loves to play, run and pounce. She would suit an active lifestyle and just enjoys running. Peri is getting used to water play now that it is getting warmer, but we believe that slow introductions will ensure she is not afraid of getting her paws wet.

She would be suited to a home with either an older male dog companion or on her own. Peri is an independent girl who enjoys her space with her humans. She would also benefit from someone who is home more often than not. Peri can bark sometimes if she can hear commotion so is quite a good guard dog but it is not excessively barking all the time.

We feel that Peri would be better suited to a home with children above 12 years of age and with a good dog savvy mind, she will need patience, love and affection and someone that will make her feel that she is apart of any home. She is a great learner and is toilet trained. She knows commands such as sit, down, come, stay and is learning every day to be better on the lead.

Essentials for Peri:

** someone who is good with a nervous pup that just needs to be shown patience

** not necessarily another dog in the household, but Peri would benefit from someone who is home more often than not
