About Jojo
Jojo is still a bit of a puppy so has a bit more energy to burn up. She can do this with her walks but also enjoys lots of play time too. This can include her games with you, play-wrestles or zoomies to entertain you. She loves when he human chases her. So much fun. JoJo is also very happy if you substitute a walk for a drive. She loves the car, all the exciting places to visit in her magic mover. Given half a chance, Jojo would jump into a complete strangers car if they left the door open on the street. Jojo can enjoy the car so much that she may take some convincing to hop out after a lovely excursion.
Jojo just loves everybody she meets. She is confident to say hello and invite her new admirer for a pat, ear scratch or bum-rub, whatever is on offer.
Jojo is also very enthusiastic meeting doggos on her walks, play-dates and Gumtree Greys market stalls. She is learning to be more relaxed as not every dog is as enthusiastic as her. She is comfortable meeting most dogs but is a bit too excitable and bouncy to share a home with a small dog. On her walks Jojo is getting more comfortable with the neighbourhood noises but can still be startled by sudden noises such as cyclists swishing past. She is not a fan of being barked at by dogs behind fences.
Kids fascinate Jojo, she adores meeting the smaller humans and happy to entertain them. Again, she is too bouncy to share a home with small children as she is still too much of a puppy.
Our Jojo is a smart girl. She is quickly learning the routine of her home. She is also learning some simple commands and signals such as “wanna-go-in-the-car” and “walkies”
At home, Jojo spends some time in the yard but prefers to be inside with her human. She is not a fan of being home alone for too long so a home with humans home more often is ideal. She would also be happy to share her home with another suitable canine friend.
At home Jojo sleeps on her own bed in the human bedroom but, as treat, some mornings she can sneak a visit to her human’s bedside with her front paws on the bed to say good morning and have a tiny cuddle. It's a lovely way to start your day. It's a little slower in the morning while her human gets ready for work. Jojo insists on an opportunistic cuddle while she tries to put on her shoes and socks.
Jojo is a playful love-bug who will brighten up your life. She will make a perfect companion for someone wanting to welcome more love into their home but also enjoy the playfulness and humour of our blonde bombshell.

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
