About Grundy
Grundy’s foster Mum describes him as a handsome boofhead. She means it in a kind and endearing way. He is a gentle soul who just needs a family to love and be loved in return. He is learning about pet life and getting more confident every day. He is the goodest boy.
Grundy loves his daily 30 minute walk and is very keen if you have time for a second. He walks gently on lead but does like to stop to take in all the sights, sounds and smells. On his walks and playdates, Grundy is mostly comfortable and polite. He hasn’t met many smaller dogs yet but is pleased to meet and hang out with calmer medium and larger dogs.
Grundy has discovered the joy of chasing a ball. He will enthusiastically play with you for as long as you can last.
Grundy loves his foster life with his humans and “the ladies” : two resident female greyhounds who are keeping him in line. He definitely know’s they run this show.
He loves playtime with his human Dad and delights in hoarding toys. Grundy takes great pride in building a nest of toys on his bed.
While his humans are working in their study, he is happy to chill on a bed beside them.
Grundy is a devoted and loyal boy who will show his humans great affection and entertain you with his antics. He is not tested home alone as he has always had the ladies home with him when the humans are out. He is looking for a home where humans are home a lot or there is there is a suitable canine companion for company.
No cats or small dogs
No full time workers unless some working from home or there is another dog.
No children under six

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
