Profile and needs in a home
Sienna is a gorgeous Kelpie x staffy pup.
Sienna has the affection and cheek of a Staffy, and the energy and intelligence of a kelpie.
When learning a new skill, Sienna will only have to be taught once and she will remember forever. She is a very quick learner and very eager to please.
Sienna was potty trained, and crate trained within a week of being with her foster family.
With high intelligence, comes a need to be stimulated. Sienna requires someone to challenge her physically and intellectually an a home that will continue her training using only force-free positive reward based training methods
She will best suit an active family who loves a cuddle in the home.
We are looking for a home where Sienna will be part of the family and included where possible in activities outside of the home.
Like all of our dogs Sienna must have access inside at all times and be permitted to sleep in a cosy area of the night.
Sienna has spent her time with two big foster brothers (German SH/WH Pointers). She is very confident around dogs of all sizes. She spends a lot of time wrestling her foster brothers during the day. Even after considerable exercise, she loves to have a wrestle. She loves having a canine friend in the home. She idolises her foster brothers and wants to be involved in everything they do.
She would be best suited to a household with another medium/large, younger and playful dog that she can romp and play with, learn from and cuddle uo to at night-time
She has spent a considerable amount of time by the ocean, and has no fear around water. She will leap into the water in the middle of winter and does not turn her nose up to a shower. It would be great if Sienna could continue her trips to a beach or lake as she absolutely loves the water.
This sweet, affectionate, confident, and intelligent water baby will be someone’s once in a lifetime pup. She has spent time with children (4-12) and is very gentle and playful around them. She is untested with cats, however, does not seem to be attentive or reactive to other animals.
If you would like to meet the gorgeous Sienna please send us some detail on yourself and the home you are able to provide including, family members, your other dogs and any other pets (if any), lifestyle, exercise and mental stimulation you will provide, how often Sienna would be alone, where she will have access in the home, where Sienna would go if you went away and could not take her with you, ability to cover vet expenses and any other information you wish to provide.
