About Wyck
There is only one word for Wyck and that is STUNNING!
This beautiful pup has such a striking look. His pointer markings on his large body just catch people’s eyes wherever he goes. His velvety soft floppy ears are irresistible, and you can stroke them all day. To match her looks is his beautiful temperament.
Wyck has a wonderfully soft and gentle nature both with people and other dogs. He is shy at first as he was not exposed to a lot in his early life, but once he sees that everything is ok, he warms up quickly.
Wyck is a cuddler and enjoys being curled up with you on the couch or lying beside your feet. He's a sweet, gentle, soft boy.
He will need a home with another friendly and happy dog who can show him the ropes in new situations. As with people, he is shy initially meeting new dogs but again quickly learns that they are new friends to play with.
He loves the dogs in his foster home and having a good rumble. A big goofy boy, he gallops around the yard with his giant floppy feet and gangly legs. He will join in playtime with the other dogs and cuddle up to them at rest times. In new situations, he looks to his people and the other dogs to know how to react appropriately; his confidence still needs building.
Wyck is a big boy. We know his mum was a pure bred German Short-haired Pointer and dad was some kind of gun dog mix but obviously brought size into the equation as he is in the vicinity of 15-20kg already. Fully grown he will be a large to extra large dog and will be over 40kg.
Whilst Wyck enjoys daily play time in his foster home, he is more than happy to chill out on his bed in the house. Daily exercise and playtime will be an important part to keep him happy and healthy throughout his life.
We are looking for a home who has experience with previously training dogs. Wyck will need further guidance while learning to walk on lead – currently he is doing a short walk to practise. His general confidence will also require gradual building to make him feel secure in unfamiliar environments.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Wyck where he will be a part of the family and further developed to reach his full potential. He will need a home with another dog (or multiple!) and would love it if her owners are around more often than not as well.
Wyck should be allowed to be inside with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. He is young enough to be integrated with other types of pets with the appropriate guidance and he will be fine to live with children as long as they can respect that he is a bit skittish and will sometimes need space.
Wyck will not be suited to really busy environments so will need a quieter suburban home or would do great on acreage. He is such a sweetheart and will thrive in the right home, allowing him to develop into the most wonderful companion.
If you would like to make this goofy boy a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form as the first step. Please include plenty of detail about your prior dog experience, current household members including the furry types and the lifestyle you can offer Wyck.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
