About Benny *On Trial*
*benny is currently trialling his new home* laidback benny is one of 5 healthy, happy puppies who were born on 25 november 2010. The pups were surrendered to rural rescue from hay in nsw where they were about to be put to sleep. Rural rescue then asked sarg to help with their rehousing so we took on 3 of the cuties. Their mum is a purebred labrador and their dad is a neighbouring working kelpie who happened to jump the fence when the lab was on heat…she has now been desexed so it won’t be happening again!
boofy boy benny has a lovely, gentle nature even when you pick him up for cuddles he goes all floppy like a ragdoll cat! benny loves playing with his siblings (if there’s an adventure to be had with his brother buddy he’ll be there!) or just hanging out with his carers family enjoying the good life. Benny also enjoys his food so we’re hoping this will help with his training. He is the largest of the 3 pups but only by a smidgeon, as a matter of fact it’s often hard to tell him and his sister macy apart – they’re like identical twins!! we reckon benny will be the size of a small labrador once he’s finished growing. All of the pups get along well with their carers other dogs both big and small as well as the family cat and their very patient miniature horse whose lovely long tail seems to be a major attraction for the playful pups. They’re well behaved around the chooks and are used to being handled by adults as well as children making them pretty much “bomb proof”. While in care benny will learn the basics such as “sit” and “down” and as he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners! \ daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief
benny would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup. If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up cruisey little benny then please contact sarg for an application now!!
