About Huber
Meet Huber - a super sweet and cuddly boy.
This gorgeous boy came to us from a country pound and is still getting used to the busyness of suburban life. Due to a lack of confidence and feeling insecure, he is a bit clingy towards people right now. Once in a stable and permanent home whereby he can feel secure & loved, this behaviour will likely dissipate.
He loves to be near you so will often be curled up beside you on the lounge. At night, he sleeps in his crate and will take himself off to bed when tired.
Wonderful with other dogs, Huber enjoys zoomies and playing with other dogs at the dog park, although he shies away from the biggies for now.
His lead walking is ok albeit he's a bit nervous in busy and or noisy environments so further training in this area, along with confidence building will be of benefit.
At home, his toilet training is going well with very few accidents and due to his food motivation, any further training will be made easier.
Huber enjoyed being bathed and groomed (he came to us very matted and has been clipped) and also travels well in the car - lays down and settles easily.
Squeaky toys are a bit of a favourite and he will enthusiastically throw them around to catch and play with. Fetch is also fun.
Super sweet, Huber is a lover of people and will happily make friends with everyone once comfortable.
Due to his current insecurity, he is displaying some anxiety that reflects in licking you and crying when left alone.
Huber would suit a family that is home most of the time, he would suit young kids as he is super gentle, as well as an elderly couple who want a gentle lap dog full of love.
He would thrive in a home with another playful , older and stable dog that can be a great play mate, a good role model and company for alone times.
At this stage, we won't be placing him in a unit or busy suburban area, he will need a quieter area where he can slowly and steadily build his confidence out and about without all the noises that make him nervous.
Huber is a lovely boy that given the right environment, stability and security will thrive and show you his truly wonderful side.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
