IMP 40 OREO. Oreo is a big beautiful female merle Great Dane mix. She turns 5 on 28 September. Oreo was very reluctantly surrendered on 15/07/2023. She has been with us 6 weeks now and we really need to find her a home. Her previous owner has been working through issues and been in communication with us for almost 2 years. Ultimately Oreo was not compatible with another older existing dog in the home. We have lots of information about Oreo and the previous owner is happy to answer any questions as well. Oreo was rescued at 8 months old, underweight, scared and untrusting. Alot of work has gone into working on these issues and basic training. Oreo loves to be the center of attention and does not understand she is not a small lap dog. She would love to be inside, on your couch or in your bed. She does have some trust issues with men and may initially be scared and take time to warm up to them. Oreo is excellent in the car, walks well on a lead (may pull at first in excitement) and house trained. In the Shelter she has been a pleasure. She is clean, quiet, no issues with other dogs through fences. She does just want to play with another dog but doesn't understand her size. Based on previous issues it would be recommended to go to a home as an only dog OR experienced dog owner willing to separate and slowly transition dogs together. Whilst she isn't aggressive it appears she may have had some resource guarding issues at some point with the previous dog in the home. Her adoption fee is now ONLY $100 and includes microchipping, registration, desexing, vaccination, worming, flea treatment, leash, collar, food, bedding and some of her toys. A full bundle of things ready to go with her. She is so loving and deserving of a home. She just needs someone with time and commitment.
