About Raffy - 1 Year Old Border Collie (Trial)
Rafiki or Raffy to his mates, is a good looking 1 yr old Border Collie.
Did you know “Rafiki” isn’t just the name of the wise Mandrill from The Lion King, but this unique name also means “companion” or “friend” – so could Raffy be the best furever friend you are looking for?
His luscious coat, big smile and beautiful brown eyes will have you falling in love at first sight. Raffy is a well behaved, fun loving, snuggle bug, who is a joy to have around. His personality has really shown through in care and he is loving life living with another female dog for company.
So what do we know so far about Raffy:
- Loves people
- Kid friendly
- Dog friendly
- Some training…he is a smart and learns quickly
- Likes to play with a ball and soft toys
- Not reactive to noises like motorbikes or leaf blowers
- Not destructive
- Needs exercise…well he is a young BC. If not exercised he may dig.
- Is untested for cats and pocket pets
Raffy has been progressing well with training and learning with basic commands. Being one of the smartest dog breeds in the world we have no doubt that Raffy will absolutely thrive with a new family that is committed to his training!
This gorgeous guy is dog friendly. He is quite neutral around other dogs so he could suit a fur sibling that is on either end of the energy-scale.
We believe he would make a great running/hiking buddy and could be potential champion fly ball/agility course doggy! He would be suited to home with someone who is home more often than not as he loves his human company! Raffy requires 2 walks a day to burn all his energy, he also loves a good sniff to check the local neighbourhood.
Raffy is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Raffy is in foster care in Oatley, south Sydney. He is not available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $800 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
