About Rex ~ 2yo kelpie x
Active, affectionate, very intelligent. Rex is a super-friendly dog to other dogs and humans. Rex found himself at the pound, and for an active, playful dog who absolutely loves being around people, his stay was far too long. This delightful dog is now looking for the happy family environment that he so deserves, because like, many of us, he doesn’t like being left alone.
While Rex is quite well-behaved, good on a lead and an intelligent and quick learner, he is sometimes over-enthusiastic. He is great with other dogs and loves the occasional group walk and loves the dog park. Cats are an unknown.
And did we mention that Rex loves his food and will do tricks for treats? He can sit, shake, drop and turn. He’s also a big softie who loves his stuffed toys. Rex’s physical prowess includes being able to jump high and enthusiastically. He doesn’t jump at people but tends to jump at doors and fences when he is excited. His foster carers are working on this and the good news is that he doesn’t use this skill to escape the yard.
With his smooth coat that can easily be cared for with just a bath and the occasional brushing. Rex is very low maintenance. He has been described as on the small side of large and has reached his full growth potential.
Rex loves humans so much, he would be happy as an only dog, given plenty of love, attention and exercise, but wouldn’t mind sharing the love with other animals in the home.
If you feel you can provide this super worthy dog with a loving, permanent home, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: dogrescuemudgee@gmail.com. Rex is currently in foster care in Mudgee, NSW. Recently saved from the pound by Dog Rescue Mudgee, Rex is looking for a permanent home.
Rex is microchipped, de-sexed and vaccinated, free of fleas and worms
