About Katie
Introducing Katie, the love enthusiast with a heart as big as her cuddles! This extraordinary lady knows how to connect with you. If she crawls towards you and doesn't receive the pats she craves, she'll rest her head on you and gaze up with soulful eyes, asking for your love and attention.
In Katie's typical day, she is crate trained and content to lounge around. After being let out for her bathroom needs in the morning, she happily spends her day indoors, snuggling up close to your feet or on your lap. She understands the importance of sitting and waiting patiently before entering the house or returning to her crate for meals and rest.
There's nothing that makes Katie's tail wag more than her favourite person. Your presence and affection are what she lives for, and she'll make sure to show her happiness through the wagging of her tail and the sparkle in her eyes!
Katie's ideal match would be a calm household, ideally with an elderly couple or someone who is home more often than not. She thrives on routine and would greatly benefit from a structured environment that offers stability and consistency. Despite her age, Katie would love to learn and grow, so an owner who is committed to her ongoing training would be ideal. Starting from scratch, focusing on toileting habits, greeting visitors, and managing demand barking will help Katie blossom into her potentials.
It's important to note that Katie's previous experiences lacked structure and socialisation. As she settles into her new home, she may initially display some confusion. However, with patience, understanding, and clear expectations, Katie will find her stride and truly appreciate the consistency and love provided by her new family.
Katie's dream home is one where she can spend her days snuggled up with her favourite humans. She may have a tendency for demand barking when left outside, but with consistent boundaries, she will happily redirect her attention. Regretfully and with a heavy heart, Katie's owners are looking to rehome her as they moved into a nursing home.

When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
