About Mary
Meet Mary, a beautiful female Merino sheep in need of a loving home. At approximately 6 years old, Mary has had a rough start in life. She was surrendered to the RSPCA with a whopping 15kg of fleece, indicating that she hadn't been shorn in quite a long time. This heavy fleece caused discomfort and limited her mobility, but thankfully, she has now been shorn and is feeling much better.
Despite her past hardships, Mary is a friendly and sociable sheep. She loves human interaction and will eagerly follow you around, especially if you have treats such as apples, pellets, or even the occasional crust of bread. Nothing makes her happier than receiving pats and scratches from her human companions.
Currently, Mary is by herself, but she would thrive in a new home where she can interact with other friendly sheep. Having the companionship of her own kind would bring her a lot of joy and make her feel more secure. So, if you already have other sheep or are considering adopting a small flock, Mary would be a perfect addition.
Mary appreciates a shelter as well, especially during wet or frosty days and nights. Having a cozy place to retreat to when the weather is harsh is essential for her comfort and well-being.
Since arriving at the RSPCA, Mary has received all the necessary care and treatments. She has been tagged, had a fresh haircut to remove her heavy fleece, had her feet trimmed, and has been treated for parasites. She has also been vaccinated to ensure her good health.
Now, Mary is eagerly waiting for a loving and forever home where she can live out the rest of her days surrounded by love and comfort. If you are looking for a wonderful companion who will melt your heart with her gentle nature and appreciate the care you provide, consider adopting Mary from the RSPCA. By giving her a home, you will be making a meaningful difference in her life and experiencing the joy of owning a truly special sheep.
