Hi, I’m Galão! I’m the last of my litter of 7 siblings still waiting for my fur-ever home AFTER 2 YEARS! 🥺 I’m a sweet little black and white girl, who’s calm and gentle in nature.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Whether my human servants are in bed or in the bathroom, I’ll let you know that I’m happy to be in your company by purring or giving you my signature “waggle dance” with my tail. I haven’t had experience with super young children, but I currently live with two young teens who handle me often, and I’m okay with that, but don’t over do it!

I enjoy spending time with the 4 resident cats at my foster home, and I am also incredibly tolerant of all the younger whipper snapper foster kittens (that have come and gone in my time). I’m happy to play with cats of any age.

Dogs can sometimes be a little overwhelming for me, but I’ve done myself proud by standing my ground and hissing to stop them in their tracks (from stealing my food). I’d need a slow introduction if you have a cat-friendly pup.

Likes / Dislikes
I’m a foodie and love my meals! Playing with my mouse toys, climbing my cat scratching tree, or simply lying in my bed (or on any of those belonging to my foster family members) are some of my favourite activities. I also enjoy exploring the outside in my enclosed catio, and can be found lounging in a hammock.

I’m not a fan of being cornered, loud noises, or sudden movements. These things can make me a little nervous, but with time and patience, I’ll feel more confident. I’m also not big on being held, but I love hanging out with my family and being around you.

My PURR-fect home would be with a caring family or individual who will keep me company. I probably wouldn’t mind another cat to hang with too. Though I might be a little shy at first, I’d adapt and make myself right at home in most environments.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Galão had cat flu, which is a respiratory infection. She was treated for this and given the all clear by the vet.

Galao has chronic epiphora (overflow of tears from the eyes) caused by stenosis (closure) of the upper and lower ductules preventing normal outflow through to the nose. This is a permanent problem with no remedy. Daily cleaning of the right eye with water to avoid skin irritation from the tears is required.
