Dewey - 4 Month Old Shar Pei X Staffy

Dewey is a beautiful healthy 4 month old boy who is being raised in a family home environment. His mum is American Staffy x English Staffy and his dad is a Shar-pei. Dewey will grow up to be a medium dog.

He is your typical social happy bouncing puppy with an adorable personality. He loves stuffed toys and chasing balls, he also loves bones and is starting to explore his paddle pool with this warmer weather. Dewey is a very affectionate young boy who loves to give lots of sneaky kisses.

Dewey is happy in the back yard during the day and keeps himself entertained well, although he is currently has his litter sister for company. However, he wouldn’t have any issues being the only dog of the house. He is well behaved with the resident indoor cat of the house - he is very curious but is happy just watching.

Dewey is currently in care in a home with two young children ages 4-6 and is very happy and affectionate with the kids.

Dewey is still a puppy and is still learning so will need continued training and guidance as he grows and develops. It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Dewey. If not then there needs to be someone In the household that doesn’t work full time.

We always recommend puppy training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise and training.

Dewey is currently sleeping indoors in a crate and is doing well with house training. Dewey needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. You need good fencing with no small gaps. Dewey can't go to rural fencing (eg. mesh or wire).

Dewey’s sibling Dariah is also available for adoption.

Dewey’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough and his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.

Dewey is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW. As Dewey is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast, Sydney and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
