About Keefy
I came in like a wrecking ball oh bugger can’t get that song out of my head – while I would definitely have to change some of the lyrics that line does sum me up nicely!
So hey, My name is Keefy and I am a Aussie bulldog (the director says bulldozer) but I say Aussie Bulldog!
I am a huge 1 year and 1 month old and in some ways still a puppy.
I am a big chunk of love (currently weighing in at 26.6kgs) and my favorite thing is to be with my humans and hanging out with them.
My foster parents say that I am the sweetest and cuddliest bulldozer – I am a happy boy and just love to be a part of things – My foster mum says I am still working on my manners but the enthusiasm that I put into learning them is impressive!
I'm an independent guy (ha ha ha ha who are we kidding) I am a bulldog who would sit in your pocket If you let me! I love to be outside with my humans and inside when they are, Because I like being around my humans, I would love someone who is around at home more often or not.
My foster parents take me for daily walks – I absolutely love them! They do remind me that I forget my own strength and to not try and pull them along – oops I’m working on that but I’m just one of those guys who forget my strength.
I am a friendly guy and I am very polite around other dogs when meeting them but I do like to be the boss so would need to go to a home where there is either another dog who doesn’t want to be boss or a home where I am center of attention.
I am not tested on cats
I love to sleep next to you on the couch while watching TV, or on your bed but I am also okay sleeping in my crate at night, I don't make a peep (except for some snoring!).
I am toilet trained
I am great with children, especially if they will give me pats and cuddles, but because I am a bit of a bulldozer, I would be best suited to a family with children who can either bounce if I go thru them accidentally of course or older children who can brace for impact. And of course children who would love to give me cuddles!
I love to get brushed I could have you doing that for hours if you wanted.
As I’m still young and full of energy and curiosity I need either someone who is home more often then not or with another dog who is happy for me to be boss – I do need mental and physical stimulation – I am not a couch potato – if left home alone for 8 hours a day I would find things to destroy (especially hair brushes, remote controls etc)
If you're looking for a big chunk of love with absolutely no understanding of their own weight then apply for me now, I would love to meet you and be your cuddle buddy!

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
