Grumpy is one of our Seven Dwarves pups, but this pawsome boy will be anything but small in stature when he grows up... big dog lovers only need apply - we believe Grumpy and his littermates will be pretty large dogs when fully grown 🥰. And never fear, Grumpy is really not grumpy at all! He's a wonderful, placid boy. Being a typical puppy, he does jump up at the children in his foster family to give big licks, and will gently mouth your hands, but this is in excitement only and he's really very gentle for his size. With positive encouragement and maturity he will develop good manners.
Grumpy is good with the dog in his foster home and happily follows her around the back yard. The pups are a little timid and like to stick together but once they build up trust with their new families they should become loving and loyal companions Grumpy will need to be toilet trained and we recommend formal training classes where he can learn basic training with his owners and also socialise with other dogs and humans. Especially with big dogs, being able to be out and about in public spaces knowing that your dog will be comfortable seeing new people and dogs is a must.
As he gets older Grumpy will need regular exercise, playtimes and lots of mental and physical enrichment. Please only apply if you can commit to training and exercise. At least when settling in he will benefit from having human company at least part of every day: long hours without people doesn't get pups off to the best start. Please note these are family dogs, not guard dogs.
Grumpy will be a fabulous addition to a loving home. Please apply by completing the SAFE application form - see link above from PetRescue or click on Apply to Adopt From SAFE site.
