About Nicho - 1 Year Old Jack Russell
Sweet Nicho, 1 year old Jack Russell, will be your working from home colleague. If you sit down, Nicho is ready to warm your lap. As he weighs 5kg he is the perfect lap dog. He loves attention, pats, snuggles and belly rubs. Nicho always wants to know you’re near or to be on your lap.
Nicho needs a calm home where he is treated like one of the family. He would like his human home more than not. He gets on well with his small fur foster siblings but hasn’t had a lot of experience with other dogs. As he was used to being the only dog he is learning to live and play with his 4 foster fur siblings. He would be happy being an only dog or living with a calm, friendly older dog. Nicho is untested with cats.
He is learning how to sit and is starting to come when called.
Nicho needs to sleep inside with his people, and he enjoys snuggles on the sofa as well as sunbaking in the garden. Nicho sometimes plays fetch with a small tennis ball. He is fine outside with company but wants to be inside when you’re home.
Nicho is toilet trained, but has some accidents when he’s anxious. He sleeps on his foster carers bed. Nicho can get a little nervous in new surroundings so will need some time, patience, and training to settle into his new home. He would benefit from long walks and exercise to use up his puppy energy and training and enrichment activities to enhance his life.
He would benefit from training on lead as he gets very excited going for walks and can pull a bit. He would love long walks with his family and going out with you.

Nicho is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW. He is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
