About Ollie
MEET OLLIE!
Ollie is a super sweet but shy young adult.
Ollie is a lucky boy that found his way to our rescue when a lovely concerned citizen found him living in the streets of Melbourne. He was covered in dirt, fleas and wounds and was suffering from cat flu, this person trapped Ollie and immediately brought him up to us in Ballarat for rehabilitation!
Ollie has been in care for over a year now and has made a full recovery, he is a really special, smoochy boy! Originally Ollie was very timid and skittish but he soon learnt that he is safe and loved and started to seek out affection, Ollie is now a big love bug and LOVES to head butt, rub around his humans legs and sit with you! He is full of affection and love to give.
Ollie will be timid, scared and skittish in his new home but give him time and patience and he will show you he can blossom and shower you with love.
Ollie is very gentle natured with a sweet soul, he spends most of his days sleeping in his fluffy cat beds, cuddling up to the other foster cats or snacking on his biscuits.
Ollie LOVES other cats so much, he would do well in a home with one or multiple other friendly cats that he can bond with and curl up with and cuddle while his humans are away.
Ollie hasn't lived with dogs and may be afraid of indoor dogs. Ollie has never been around small kids and would likely be timid in a loud, busy environment due to his rough background and would do best in a quiet, relaxed home with a steady routine.
Ollie is an INDOOR ONLY cat for life and prefers to spend his time inside following his human around or curled up cuddling the other cats.
*Ollie comes with a 2 week in-home trial to ensure his new home is the purrfect match! this trial can be extended to 4 weeks where necessary.
*If you would like to have an obligation free video chat meet & greet with Ollie, please dont hesitate enquire!
Medical notes
Ollie must be fed a urinary diet for life due to his previous case of stress induced UTI, this is managed well with his urinary diet.
Ollie was FIV tested (as are all our stray and wild born cats) and is FIV Negative.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
