About Pippa
Are you looking for a placid, sweet tempered pooch ???
Well!!!! PLEASE Read this girls profile as she has sooooooo much to offer
She ticks so many boxes
Pita patter pita patter
That’s what you will hear as our beautiful gentle demure girl, Pippa, comes over to greet you . Pippa is a fabulous girl who, for her age, has a lovely soft manner, a pleasure to have around the home. At just 28 kilos this gorgeous girl will make a lovely addition to those med dog lovers
Pippa’s favourite things
Carrying around her favourite toy, her turtle in her mouth
Treats
Walks
Playing with her resident fur pals
Smoochy cuddles
When Pippa meets or greets you she will search for something to welcome you with whether it be a sock, soft toy or her favourite turtle in her mouth. She has a lovely demeanor that is demure and placid.
Pippa enjoys the company of people once she gets to know them, she’s gentle and affectionate and loves giving you a thumpy thumpy tail wag when you call her name.
Pippa does not jump on on people
She is on the timid side she can get a little nervous around loud noisy environments and will bark if uncomfortable so we are looking for a home with older kids whom are quite and calm
Pippa is a little nervous around very young kids as she has not had much exposure to them, we have increased her exposure to a lot of different environments, playgrounds, parks, kids on bikes, trains, traffic. She is getting comfortable being in the big wide world which she is embracing. She is eager to learn and please and we look for a family to continue her training to bring out the best in her
Pippa enjoys hanging out with you cuddling on the couch or on the bed
She does enjoy sleeping on the bed which is great in winter having a snuggle bug by your side but also easily directed to her bed
Pippa loves playing with dogs that are polite and not in her face. She does find dominant dogs overwhelming and can do a little nip out of fear but nothing overly aggressive, more just ‘hey back off please’.
She does like to meet new dogs and has been going to an off lead park to increase her socialisation outside the home. She is doing well and just wants to instigate play if she feels comfortable with the dog she meets and then it’s all fun with zoomies and chase. She is practicing recall on a long lead and does well when she’s out with her resident dogs. Pippa doesn’t like to stray too far from your side when out and checks in with you often
She has not been around cats or other pocket pets but possibly would be ok with dog savvy cats due to her timid nature
Pippa is well behaved inside as she is not a jumpy dog
She does like to get up on the couch with you for a snuggle but also happy to be on her bed snoozing the day away
She is still a pup so does need supervision as has been opportunistic to chew a few things she shouldn’t, typical puppy. She has a toy basket to choose from and especially enjoys hard chew toys like a nylabone or cow hoof. She does like food so occasionally does like to take a little look up on the kitchen bench if you are not looking lol.
Really for her age, she is great and not overly destructive, a lot better than most her age
Pippa has had time alone outside for short periods to test to see how she copes, she can do a bit of a scratch at the back door but then soon settles. She does stay outside during the day with other dogs while her carer works and copes very well. She is not an overly barky girl happy to snooze most the day away till you come home. If adopting as an only dog we would prefer she’s not left alone all day 5 days a week
Pippa knows sit, drop and working on stay before food and especially when at the front door
Pippa is doing some training on a long leash and learning recall, she is quite partial to a little cheese as a reward lol. She does look back and check you are not to far away as she likes to keep you in her sight
Pippa is toilet trained but does need to let out regularly or she may have an accident near the door
She has now learnt how to use the doggy door and had no accidents since
Pippa loves her walks which is important for her breed that she’s exercised daily and kept well socialised in different environments and animals. She does love new adventures and has started enjoying the steam at the local park getting her toes wet. She is let of lead for short periods in a secure oval and is displaying good recall if you have treats
Pippa is walking on a rogz martingale collar or harness. She initially pulls a little but is not overly strong on the lead
She walks well enjoying a sniff of the local news
Pippa has done a couple of 5km runs with her carer and runs well on the lead so if you are looking for a running buddy she’s your gal
Pippa enjoys getting in the car as it means a walk at the park. She has at times showed mild car sickness, so is best fed after car trips
She is otherwise perfectly behaved in the car and sits in the back seat quietly
