Sharas Baby Girl is now ready for adoption
Bagel has been in foster care for a short time, after a really rough start to her short life. Over her time in foster care, Bagel has been living with two adults and two teenagers. Bagel has been getting used to being inside and enjoying safe, positive human interaction.

Shara has an incredible gentle soft temperament so if Bagel is like her Mum she will make an incredible addition to any family

FAVORITE THINGS
Bagel loves to be inside with her humans – she hates the cold! She loves playing with toys and the couch is her favorite place to be. Whilst in care with her sister, playing with her sister occupies a lot of her time and energy. Bagel loves sleeping, belly rubs and behind-the-ear tickles are a sure way to get her leg thumping!

INTERACTIONS WITH HUMANS
Bagel Approaches new situations and places with some hesitation, as she works things out. Bagel is a gentle pup who knows when she is tired (or had enough of her sister!). She will actively seek out a snuggle and cuddle from her humans and LOVES to sleep on a lap!
OBEDIENCE/TRAINING
Since arriving, Bagel has only been on the lead twice. With her puppy teething, Bagel loves chewing on toys & dried cow hooves.
She will need time to adjust to the bigger world outside her foster home, including getting used to loud traffic and other noises.

FOOD
Bagel has been having a combination of premium dry food and a mixture of chicken and rice. She has a real appetite and is currently being fed 3 times a day! Since arriving in foster care, focus has been on having her own bowl of food, and not competing with her sister for her bowl.

INDEPENDENCE
Bagel can play with toys by herself, including chews, but is more likely to venture outside when her sister takes the lead. She is spending short times with her sister outside.

BATHING/SLEEP/HYGIENE/TOILET TRAINING
Bagel has been bathed twice since arriving and like anything, with repeated experiences of grooming and bathing, she would become more familiar and relaxed with such practices over time. Bagel loves to sleep and has had several nights of sleeping through. She needs to be taken out regularly for toileting but is also doing great with using the puppy training mats and grass overnight if needed (and sometimes during the day if inside). Limiting water after 7.30pm has also helped reduce the need for toileting overnight but this is still a work in progress. Bagel shares a crate with her sister and transitions well when placed in there for night time. She does like a heat source (e.g hot water bottle, heat pack) to help with warmth.

HOME IN A PERFECT WORLD
In a perfect world, Bagel would live in a forever home that allows her to be inside, close to her humans and where she can be a part of the family. She would be walked daily and would soak up any behavior training as she is a smart little pup!
Adoption Criteria
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Male of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while he is a puppy and her bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training! Bagel Should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on her own in the backyard all the time. Her owner should dedicate time to training and take hr to puppy classes
She is young enough to learn if you have a dog savvy cat
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pups puppies do teeth and have sharp little puppy teeth
She will require proper puppy training. She is such a joy. As she grows and explores, she will need continuous training with commitment and patience and understanding from her new family. With that, she is going to be one fantastic addition to the family!
