Penelope and her sister Gretel arrived from very scary beginnings and have spent time in foster care slowly learning to trust people. In this next, important chapter of her journey she will be fearful and need patient reassurance that she is safe, and loved, and offered a safe retreat to hide away. After getting acquainted she will gently relax to show her wonderful affectionate, playful nature. Her beautiful fluffy tail seems to float in the air above her. Penelope is quite food motivated which is useful for getting acquainted.

Penelope can unintentionally engage her claws when frightened or excited and finds the sound of children scary. She does not like being held until she fully trusts you, therefore needs a quiet loving home with older persons. Penelope particularly loves other kitties and would love a home with a feline friend such as her loving sister Gretel. A polite dog is ok too, but she prefers other cats.
