Sweet little Gretel and her sister Penelope arrived from very scary beginnings and have spent time in foster care slowly learning to trust people. In this next, important chapter of her journey Gretel will be fearful and need patient reassurance that she is safe, and loved, and offered a safe retreat to hide away. Once she has had time to get acquainted, she will gently relax to show her gentle affectionate, sweet nature. Gretel is quite food motivated which is useful for getting acquainted.

Gretel does not like to be held and can unintentionally engage her claws when frightened or excited, and finds the sound of children scary, therefore needs a quiet loving home with older persons. Gretel particularly loves other kitties and would love a home with a feline friend such as her loving sister Penelope. A polite dog is ok too but she prefers other cats.
