Lucky

Hello my name is Lucky and I'm hoping to be lucky enough to find my new home now I've come to the RSPCA!

In my previous home I lived outside with other dogs, and didn't spend time indoors so this time I would like to be with my family as much as I can. I may be large, but once I warm up to you I will want to be your lap dog!

I like gentle, quiet interactions with people, as I am a bit shy at the moment. I will be nervous in new environments and around new people, so my new owners will need to be patient with me, and help me gain confidence in the world. For this reason, an adult/older teen home will be best for me. I have no experience with young children so I shouldn't live with them as my bounciness will knock them over. I am a large breed so I'll need a large and secure yard to stretch my legs in when the zoomies start!

I need a home with people who have Rottweiler experience to continue my training and help me to become the best girl. I know some training cues, sit and shake, but that's about it. I need to learn toilet training and leash walking, and am also a bit unsure about other dogs so socialising me, and getting me used to the big wide world is important. Taking it slow is the key! I might be able to live with an older, calm male dog though. Getting some help from a professional trainer would be highly recommended.
