Hi there, my name is Puff
I've been at the shelter since September 2022 now, in foster care while I adjust to losing my home and waiting to have orthopedic surgery. I came to the shelter after losing my way, and no one from my old family has come to take me home.
I LOVED being in foster care, it felt like a new lease on life for me; and while foster is good, everyone is saying that I will do 100% better in my forever home. I like to keep people on their toes, I like attention, but I'm not going to need to sit in your lap all of the time. I like to lick people's fingers because yummy things might've been there and I will even play sometimes, my favourite toys being wand toys and things I can chase. The way to my heart however is through food, I love food. The staff have been telling me I'm on a diet because I'm too fat, so I guess you have to deal with that too.
I will greet you when you wake up & come home with a beautiful meow because I am excited to see you. At the shelter though, I'll probably greet you with a hiss, I don't like it here, and I want to go home with someone who is willing to wait for my love. You can give me rubs, scratches & pats around my head and I will rub up against you. I will love your bed and sleep at the end of it by your feet. I am very good at telling you when I want to be left alone, just a little grumble is all I will say.
I am arthritic, so am on ongoing pain relief to help. While in the care of the RSPCA, I had to have a double hip surgery to correct some really painful arthritis, and now that it's been done, I am so much happier and can do so much more, but would prefer a home with one level, or one that is arthritis friendly (less stairs, not slippery floors etc.). My foster carers have all adored and loved me, and I can't wait to put you under my spell!
