About Rosie
Young Rosie is everything you want in a labrador mix: she is fun, lively, energetic, highly trainable & soooo affectionate. She is fast becoming a Volunteer's favourite here at the shelter as her favourite thing is to lean in for snuggles & soak up all the love she can get.
She lacks some training & guidance but is totally up for learning, as long as she can spend time with you then all is well in her world!
We would suggest a home with older kids (12+yrs) since, although she has lived with kids in the past, she can be a little bit jumpy & excitable. She is going through her adolescent phase when this behaviour is very normal & with some consistent positive reinforcement training it won't take long for her to figure out some nice manners... keep those yummy treats handy & see what cool tricks she can learn. Educating our dogs is an ongoing process & is something to be enjoyed!
Rosie likes interacting with other dogs & may be able to co-habit with a suitable canine companion. A Meet & Greet prior to adoption would be required to see if they can be friends.
This girl needs regular daily exercise to burn off some of that energy as well as mental enrichment to keep her busy mind occupied. Secure fencing & a high quality diet are also essential.
Rosie will make a wonderful companion & desperately needs someone to show her all the love she deserves.
