Hi I’m Bane, affectionately referred to as "big boof" by my carers. I love cuddles and will supply you with ample amounts of drooly, happy loving.
I live as a solo dog at the moment, and I'm pretty happy chilling in the yard or under the house by myself for the day. I used to live with other dogs and was pretty happy there as well, but don't mind getting some alone time. I have lived with small dogs and been nothing but a gentleman, carefully stepping around them. I don't play too much with toys but will try beat you at a game of tug of war if you are willing to try.
I think I'm a pretty great guard dog and give a big woof or two when people walk past. If they come in the yard, my guard dog duties stop and I become a cuddly teddy bear wanting pats and belly rubs. I love everyone I meet.
I get really excited for my daily walk, strolling through the neighbourhood and only pulling when I see a tree I really want to sniff or another dog I want to say hey to. After 15 minutes into the walk I get extra relaxed and will happily walk alongside you, it doesn't take too much to wear me out.
I haven't shown any signs of aggression or concerning behaviour. So while not tested around children, my carers think I would do well around older kids who can handle my size (because sometimes I forget how big I am and lean on you or rest my head onto your lap to get pats).
I would make an excellent addition to any home as long as you're strong enough to hold me on walkies and can handle some extra drooly cuddles.
Bane is $350 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
