About Murphy
Stunner Murphy is now ready to find his new fur ever hoomans. This boy is a typical kelpie and has loads of energy to burn.
He loves being near you and at night after a toilet break he will try to get on the bed with you (if allowed)
Murphy has been good around children over the age of 5 while in care but has yet to be tested around toddlers and cats. Supervision is always recommended of course with new dogs.
He is good with other dogs but doesn’t like it if they rush him. He is house trained, loves car rides and playing ball or tug of war.
Murphy is a smart fella and will sit, drop, wait and has good recall. He is working on heeling currently and due to his love of food this shouldn’t be hard to teach.
This beautiful natured boy will easily steal your heart if you let him. If you can offer him both the mental and physical stimulation he needs, then fill in an application and the successful applicant will get the opportunity to meet him.

* Please note, this is not a contract or agreement of any kind, only expression of interest in our dog. We will not conduct any meet and greets unless this form has been filled out and submitted for review. Only approved applicants will get to meet our dogs. *
Once approved you will be contacted by a team member and can organise a time best suited to meet with the carer and dog. If you have other dogs they must also be at the meeting, including any children in the immediate family.
Before applying please consider the following:
• real estate approval if renting
• any fencing repairs that may need to be done
• outside shelter
• breed knowledge
• do you have enough time for the breed of dog you are applying for?
If you and the dog get along, you have to option of taking the dog on the spot (at this time you will need to pay the full adoption price and sign the adoption agreement) You will then get a 2-week trial with the dog, during this time should things not work out you are to return the dog to Dusty Paws Dog Rescue. You will then receive a full refund; less $50 admin fee within 7 business days of the return of the dog.

Please also keep in mind that we are a volunteer run rescue which means we don’t have someone manning the phone 24/7, we all work full time jobs and get back to your calls and messages as soon as we can. We thank you for your time and patients with us.
