About Turbo
Introducing Mr Personality, Turbo! Turbo is a Maltese x born 1st January 2014.
Turbo was surrendered to us as his owners circumstances changed where had to move & weren't able to take him with her. We're glad Turbo was brought in to us as he was completely matted & riddled with fleas. Dee immediately clipped his hair & gave him a wash, however he was getting very restless & growly when she tried doing around his head. We were able to get him in to the vets for an express desex & asked them to finish the rest of his clip while he was sedated. When Turbo went under sedation the vets found he had one of the worst ear infections they'd ever seen & it was in both ears. This obviously explained his reaction when Dee started touching around his head. They also noticed his teeth were in poor condition & he also had a dental with 4 teeth removed. Obviously this is a lot for anyone to deal with & even though he's gotten so much better, he can still be protective when his ears are touched. For this reason we are recommending a home with no small children.
Turbo's surrender profile states that he is house trained & travels well in the car. He can be left home alone with no issues & he's generally friendly with children & adult strangers. They also said he is good with other dogs, but not good with cats.
While at the facility, Turbo tested well with other dogs, both male & female, large & small. He appeared unfazed by cats & pocket pets, however this is through a cage. From our testing we believe he could be suitable to live with smaller animals at home. We would recommend slow & control introduction to ensure a safe & happy relationship between them.
Turbo has shown no signs of food aggression since being at the facility, however he has shown signs of separation anxiety, so he will need a home where he's not left all day by himself.
Turbo is such a loving young man who wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family. He is incredibly sweet & loves to climb on your lap for a cuddle. When he gets excited he'll let you know with an exuberant "awoo!". He was doing this throughout his photoshoot, so you can see the gusto he puts in it. We will hear a random "awoo" throughout the day & it makes us giggle while we're in the office.
If you think you could be that furever family for Turbo, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Turbo’s adoption fee is $450, and this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Turbo is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Turbo is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
